Participation in works on amendment of the Energy Law – e.g. submission of proposals regarding separation of certificate of origin and energy, change of substitution fee calculation (specification of minimum price for purchase of certificates of origin at the level of 240 PLN in year 2005). Bringing to amendment of the Building Law and changing the tax basis for real estate tax in relation to wind turbines (in accordance with the amendment only the construction part of the turbines, not the whole machine, is regarded as a construction, what is of significant importance for calculation of real estate tax). Organization of a series of meetings with representatives of transmission system operator and distribution companies within the Wind Power Workgroup. Organization of regular industry meetings within the Wind Energy Forum. |
WIND ENERGY FORUM
Since 2002 PWEA organizes regular industry meetings with representatives of legislative and executive authorities and key institutions responsible for the shape and operation of the renewables market in Poland under the name of Wind Energy Forum.
The idea of the Forum is to exchange opinions regarding proposed legislation changes being the base for new, better solutions, necessary to ensure further development of wind power in Poland. The Forum is perceived as a place for content – related discussion between subjects responsible for creating law and policies concerning the renewables and market participants. Until now the Forum hosted acting ministers for economy, ministers for the environment, MPs, department directors in governmental office, representatives of PSE – Operator S.A., Polish Power Exchange S.A., Energy Regulatory Office.
THE CONFERENCE
"WIND ENERGY MARKET IN POLAND”
PWEA organizes annual conferences dedicated to summarizing sector development during the past 12 months and to perspectives for further development of the industry. The conferences are dedicated to various aspects of wind power development in Poland, including legal, technical, financial and administrative ones.
The conferences attract a wide representation of subjects active in the wind power sector in Poland as well as representatives of administration, politics, the regulator and system operators.
The conferences as annual industry events create unique opportunity to: compare wind power development in Poland with worldwide trends, acquire know – how on technological innovations, best worldwide practices insofar as development and construction of wind farms, planned legislative changes, forecasts for sector development; and to exchange experience and opinions between subjects operating on the market.
